Could you use an extra safety harness on the hook of the leash and just loop the harness material around the collar hookup — so you’d have an extra six inches of replaceable leash your dog could chew into before destroying the leash?
Does anyone actually do this? You can seriously hurt your dog’s neck if you combine a long leash with a collar. long leashes should only ever be attached to a harness.

When I am walking 2 the field with my 🐕 s I always put them on a normal lead. And swap it over in the field. Never use them on the pavement. Even if it’s locked

I always attach to a harness, even on my larger dogs. Otherwise, using this responsibly has been so much better than a long line.

How accurate is the weight limit? say i have a 60kg leash on a dog that weighs 64 kg, will this be a problem? Or is the weight limit just a ballpark?

This is confusing AF. Why not just attach it to the D ring? My dog’s harness has two D rings. Aside from that safety collar, I love this leash for my dog.

Please do not use this! They are very harmful to dogs! It can break a dogs leg and they can be killed! If you snap the leash it will snap the dogs neck.
