At one point while discussing the ceramic one you mentioned placement and I noticed a lot of shots were on the table. Was that just for the video or is there some recommendation around placement?
For some unknown reason my cats prefer to drink out of anything except their bowl. They are either table height or they have to climb into where they drink (like the shower after one of us uses it…?) So yeah, curious if there’s something most cats don’t like about the floor?
I bought a little bubbler- my boy was scared of it LOL.

Sound or decibels so that you know how loud it is and if it will be disruptive to sleep for example
I’ve never had a cat fountain but I’m looking for one because my cat is obsessed with dripping faucets. While some of these look cool I feel like for mt car specifically It would have to have a water fountain like stream for him to be interested.
Did you find your cats playing in any of these more so than not? I need a fountation that my cats won’t play in. They are making a mess and ruining my floor. Any recommendations?
I have purchased 7-8 water fountains from the cheapest to the most expensive and my cat will not go near them after 2-3 drinks out of them. He rather drink from his regular COLDEST water bowl or the running faucets from kitchen/bathroom sinks. I replace his water twice a day. I dont know what else to do to encourage him to drink out of the water fountains he currently has on hand I have 3 going now but wont go near them just is stagnet water bowl .
The first one I bought was a plastic one then I bought a metal one with a cool design but no way of letting us know when it needed more water. So now we have a food grade safe metal one. It’s super quiet and it does have a red light indicator when the water gets low. We love this one and so do the cats. I even put ice cubes in it when the weather is warm.
All self respecting cats enjoy a good long drink from the toilet.

I had stainless steel and it rusted in four months. I’ve had plastic, and it gets algae or mold. So, trying ceramic next.

Super glue is poisonous for cats. It will leak into water
The one thing I was looking for when I bought mine was a backup battery for when or if the power goes out as some of them don’t have a well that will stay full if there’s no power. Also the one I bought is motion sensors so it’s not running all the time.
Thumbs down!!!! Completely and utterly useless. Nobody cares how amazing something is when used for 5min. The only questions when shopping for a fountain are about all this info, but after a year. Or even 6mo. At least 4mo. This is totally pointless.

Thank you so much this is so helpful! 😊 I happened to notice on Amazon that there was some fountain that had the pump on the outside which I really like cuz I had a fountain before for a cat that didn’t even want to drink from it cuz maybe the vibration or something but when I saw this a fountain today that’s like a funny name brand Cheerble? They had a battery-operated and then they had a recorded version and it has settings that can come on every 15 minutes or can activate by a sensor when the cat approaches it which I thought was so so cool but then what I really really love to yeah is the pump is not inside the water which feels so much safer to me. I’d love super quiet and like the idea of it wouldn’t be running constantly. Anyway I just thought I’d do some YouTube review searches for fountains to pick the right one. Maybe since this video was 7 months old you might have done some reviews since on The fountains that have the pump on the outside so it’s not submerged in water I’ll look for that. Thanks again

Issue with 7 and 6 and the ones like the PETKIT , is unless they have a battery backup when power goes out, cats can’t get to the water.

Very helpful. Love the presentation altho the endless repetitive music got tiresome. I never understand why YT content creators always seem to think they need to add music. Anyone coming to a video like this has a specific interest in the topic and doesn’t need fluff.
But all in all A+ work!
Not a fan of the plastic ones. In the warm weather it gets very slimy fast. The motor still heats it and the plastic can grow mold, in the small areas. Even though we washed it weekly, it wasn’t even. Stainless steel in the way to go. Easyer to clean. I got a pektaco one. We see if that will be better. It’s stainless but still has some plastic in the motor the filter etc. the like so far. I still have water dishes too. I like to promote water drinking as much as possible, in a glass bowl.
The reason you want to stay away from plastic is because not only does bacteria thrive in plastic it also is sticks to the grooves and crevices- making cleaning much more difficult
