  1. Can you do this wet food and freeze dried raw? What is an "acceptable" amount of carbs? Especially when trying to get a fat lazy cat to lose a few lbs. Lol

  2. Yet you are not a veterinarian and my vet prescribes Hills for my cat. I really don’t listen to people that go on saying things like you do because you are not educated enough to take the whole picture into consideration. People like you play on fear but you dont have the facts behind you. Wheres the studies to prove your theories? Wheres the science?

  3. So I have been wondering about low-carb vs. synthetic nutrients, but I guess this confirms my idea to focus on low-carb first.
Many brands will have inappropriate ingredients which makes the carb content high, but the synthetic nutrient content low.
I’m really excited to get my next shipment of goodies, which includes a new auto feeder for Rox in which I can put wet food instead of dry. As well as walnut litter! To see if we all like that lol. I’m still looking for an alternative brand for wet food, while I’m also researching raw to see if that would even be a good fit. Balancing, meal prep and sourcing are just very daunting aspects of it. I don’t want to underfeed nutrients or stress myself out.

  4. Hi, love your channel making my new cat mom life much easier! ❤ i have seen that feeding cats banana, oatmeal, spinach ect is good for cat but in a limited way. My question is should I feed my cats banana one day and next day spinach and so on?

  5. Do you have a video with kibble recommendations?

My cat is currently on a grain-free diet kibble/wet food and slowly incorporating some raw elements into it.

  6. There are still cat foods with less than 5% potatoes, lentils etc. I bye ND grain free dry cat food which is minimum 96% animal protein

  7. THANK YOU. Talk about relevant! I’ve been trying to find a good chicken-free dry cat food (I know you hate dry) that isn’t grain fre and it’s almost impossible. I have 5 cats so cannot afford all wet food right now, but I am trying to be as good to my younger babies (2 are old and sick) as I can, and I intend to do more wet as time progresses. (I do a mix of both right now for financial reasons, plus the cost of the sick babies).

This is awesome and will help me weed out some options for my guy with a chicken allergy. I found only two with grain but he hates both, and I want to give him a good option!

Do you still stand by Orijen Regional Red as the best worse case scenario for dry (since all Dr Elseys has chicken)? I notice Red had the legumes etc but they’re way down the list.

    Either way, THANK YOU

  8. I’ve been feeding my cat ziwi dried and weruva and wellness wet since I adopted her 3 months ago and her black fur has gradually been turning brown/red. Not sure what thats about. Back the drawing board I guess.

  9. Hi Jess, I used to give my cats boiled chicken which includes boneless flesh, and feet and organs in 3:1 ratio. I also used to mix Fish oil and multivitamin syrups. But last month my female cat developed a kidney disorder and vet diagnosed that it was because she had been eating abnormally high amount of protein and asked me to strictly stick either to packaged kibbles (vet version like kidney care) or mix boiled potato or rice in the meat in 1:1 ratio.
I am not sure what went wrong. Can you please advise if I should give them kibbles? Or is there any other alternative?

  10. Not all carbohydrates are chock full of glysophates. Grains are. All grains. In my experience and I am not a vet just observant, grains can cause urinary tract issues. If your cat is prone to urinary issues do remove the grains and that includes treats in addition to switching to wet food. Vets get alot of money from urinary tract emergencies so they are not going to reveal the cause.

  11. I just noticed that the grain-free dry food I have been buying, no longer says grain free. I’m just going to set bird and gopher traps in my back yard and let my cats eat at will!
